The Valle d'Ayas Guides' Hut (Italian: Rifugio Guide della Val d'Ayas or Rifugio Lambronecca or Nuova Mezzalama) (3,425 m11,236.877 ft
2.128 miles) is a mountain hut above Ayas in the Pennine Alps in Valle d'Aosta, Italy. It's a relatively new hut (1991) situated at the top of the long rock rib which continues above the moraine separating the Grande and Piccolo Verra Glaciers. The hut wardens are Colli Livio and Favre Federico (Tel: 0039 (0)125 30 89 51).

[edit] Approach routes
- From Zermatt: (3h)
Take lift to Klein Matterhorn. Walk to Breithornpass and to the foot of Pollux. Go to Ghiacciaio and reach the hut.
- From Ayas (Saint Jacques): (5h walk, 3,5h with taxi)
Follow the piste to Pian di Verra Sup (2,382 m) (taxi/jeep possible). Then follow a path to the Mezzalama Hut and to the Valle d'Ayas Guides' Hut.
- From Mezzalama Hut: (1,5-2h)
Follow a path NNW to get on the Grande Verra Glacier. Climb NE up the glacier to a height of 3,200 m where, on the R, you should see a stony combe (path to a ramp slanting up from R to L) to reach the hut or turn NW on the glacier and, avoiding crevasses, reach the glacier ramp leading to the Zwillingsjoch. Climb the ramp to the height of the hut and then traverse R to reach it.

Start from SW foot of Pollux then go on the Grande Verra Glacier and reach the hut.
