[edit] Approach route

Less than 1 km south of Zinal the road ends at the bridge over the Navisence river (1675m) (parking space available). Continue the path that follows the west side of the river, passing the Vichiesso chalet (1862m) to reach and cross the bridges at 1907m. The path now turns N to pass Pt. 2,082m before reaching a stream below Louchelet. Turn R here and, after passing a small tarn, head ESE and then E below the Pt. Ar Pitetta to the hut. (4-5h)

An alternative and more exciting start to the route follows the E bank of the Navisence river to the bridge at 1731m. Just beyond this the path climbs the hillside on the L. Traverse R to some rocks marked, in blue, 'Pas de Chasseur'. Climb the rocks making ample use of the fixed chains and then follow the continuation path through the woods to join the route described above. (4h)
