The Città di Varese Bivouac (Italian: Bivacco Città di Varese) (2,640 m8,661.417 ft
1.64 miles) is a mountain bivouac hut above Antronapiana in the Pennine Alps in Italy. It's a small hut situated on the first level of the Mittelrück.

Italian side

From Antronapiana: (4h)

A narrow road leads to Alpe Cheggio (1,497 m). Cross the dam and follow a path on the W side of the reservoir to reach the Alpe del Gabbio. Keep on the path leading into the Loranco valley and follow it to Alpe Corone. The wardened Andolla Hut is situated on the N side of the valley and you will see this signposted. Continue heading E up stony ground to reach the N side of the Mittelrück E ridge close to its foot. Slant up L up the first rise to reach the hut.

Swiss side

From the Almageller Hut:

Follow a waymarked path signposted to Port from just beyond the helipad and then marked with yellow paint flashes every 10 m or so. This leads SE at first and then more SSE to a little way above the small lake at Pt. 2,922 m. Leave the waymarked path and, keeping roughly at the same height, head S across stony slopes and some rock bands towards the S branch of the Rotblatt Glacier. When level with the Mittelrück turn SE to reach the glacier. Climb it to the Sonnigpass. Cross this pass to reach the hut.
