[edit] General information
The Gemschlicke (3,335 m) is a high mountain pass in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. The pass connects the Fiescher Glacier and the Studer Glacier. The pass lies between the Finsteraarhorn on the north and the Finsteraarrothorn on the south. The pass is an important accespoint to the Finsteraarhorn Hut from Grimsel Pass via Oberaarjoch. However, in recent years, the pass has become inaccessible, especially when descending to the Finsteraarhorn Hut.
For more information see Finsteraarhorn Hut.
[edit] History
The Gemschlicke was first ascended by Rudolf Meyer with a shepherd on 25 July 1812.
