The Oberrothorn is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. It's a very popular climb in the area being near Zermatt and at a high altitude. However, no special mountain equipment is needed for the path that brings to the summit.

[edit] South Face and Ridge (T2)
From the Unterrothorn descend to the east to the col (2981 m) between the Unterrothorn and Oberrothorn. Follow the path that crosses the south face of the mountain, until it arrives at the summit after a few switchbacks.
