The Swiss Confederation or Switzerland (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica, German: die Schweiz or Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft, French: La Suisse or La Confédération suisse, Italian: Svizzera, Romansh: Svizra) is a landlocked Alpine country in Central Europe with a strong economic system in finance and banking, pharmaceutics, watches and micro-precision industry.

Switzerland borders Germany to the north, France to the west, Italy to the south, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east.
