[edit] Geographic location
group south of the Wetterhorn group, north of the finsteraarhorn group. separated on the south from Finsteraarhorn Group by the Finsteraarjoch, separated in the north from Wetterhorn group y the Lauteraarsattel. Enclosed by Lauteraar Glacier, Finsteraar Glacier (east) and the Grindelwald Valley (west).

The massif is located in the eastern side of the Bernese Alps and is part of the Unesco World Heritage Aletsch Galcier region in Switzerland with 2 peaks above 4000 meter, Schreckhorn and Lauteraarhorn.
