From Zermatt (4h):
- Follow Route H1 to the stream.
- Cross bridge.
- Follow rough roadway to moraine Arbengandegge.
- Climb this to 2890m where it meets the rock barrier below the glacier.
- Cairned route leads on to the glacier and further waymarks indicate line of approach to hut.
